f:946 -    Question about Friday Salaat

Question:     What should be the intention of the Salaat of Friday?  Do we have to say 2 Raka'at Fardh Salaat Ul Juma?  Friday Salaat is Wajib.  If we offer Waijb, what about the Fardh?  Please explain to me about Niyyat.

Answer:     Friday Salaat is Obligatory (i.e. Fardh).  You please make the intention of offering Obligatory Salaat.  Intention (Niyyah) need not be articulated.  The resolve of our heart itself is the intention.  Even if you make a resolve, it is enough.
