f:94 -    Proof of ablution being invalidated by bleeding
Country : Pune,
Name : Abdullah
Question:     Wuzu (ablution) is invalidated up when one is bleeding. How is it proved?
............................................................................
Answer:     Only bleeding doesn't break the ablution (Wudhu), but the flowing of blood breaks it. As given in the Hadith of Sunan Daaraqutni:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Tamim Daari (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Ablution is invalidated due to flow of blood." (Sunan Daaraqutni, Hadith No. 590)

The great Hanafi jurist of the sixth Hijri, Allama Kasaani (May Allah  mercy be upon him) states:

Regarding the flow of blood the above mentioned Hadith has reached the status of "Mutawatir" (universally known).  It has been narrated similarly by ten Companions of Holy Prophet that bleeding (i.e. flowing of blood) invalidates ablution (Wudhu) to break. Following are names of them: Hadhrat Umar, Hadhrat Uthman, Hadhrat 'Ali, Hadhrat 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Hadhrat 'Abdullah bin Abbas, Hadhrat 'Abdullah bin 'Umar, Hadhar Thaubaan and Hadhrat Abu Darda (May Allah be well pleased with all of them). It is stated that the 9th companion is Hadhrat Zaid bin Thabit and the 10th is Hadhrat Moosa 'Ash'ari (May Allah be well pleased with them).

As mentioned in Fatawa A'alamgiri' Vol. No. 1, Pg. No. 10.

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) knows best.
