f:934 -    Marrying against the guardian's wishes

Question:     Marriage of 28 years girl against will of wali is allowed? When wali is constantly refusing for that proposal for years.

Answer:     If the 28-year-old girl is marrying within her Kufu (i.e. within those who are suitable for her) then the guardian has no right to interfere in this marriage.  However, if she is marrying outside of it, then the guardian has the right to object to this marriage.

It is always better marry as per the wishes of their parents.

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) knows best.
