f:910 - Delay in Haj because of not being selected by the Haj Committee	Country : Ali Nagar, Name : Khaleel Ahmed

Question: I have been submitting my name to the Haj Committee from the last 2 years. However, in the draw, my name is not being selected. I know some people who have been doing so for the last 3 years and their names haven?t been selected. There are some whose names got selected in the very first time. Is this correct? I have saved the requisite money for Haj. I have firmly resolved to go for Haj. Only because my name is not being selected, this delay is occurring. Will I be considered a sinner due to this? ............................................................................
Answer: As you are submitting your name to the Haj Committee only with the intention of Haj, then this delay because of your name not being selected in the lots does not amount to sin. If your name does not come up in the draw for 3 years, then in the 4th year, the Haj Committee will select you on a preferential basis. Thus, next year you can go for Haj. However, if you can bear the expenses of private operators and you are able to get the visa, then you may go for Haj through them as well. And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) knows best.
