f:795 -    No Salaat without sending Durood on the Prophet

Question:     Salaat is not accepted until we send Durud on Ahle Bait.  Is this true?  Is there any proof in the Hadith for this?

Answer:     There is a Hadith about this is in Sunan Daraqutni:

It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Mas'ud Ansari (May Allah be well pleased with him), he says that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  Whoever offers Salaat and doesn't send Durud, neither on Me nor on My family, the Salaat of that person will not be accepted. (Sunan Daraqutni, Kitab Us Salaat, Hadith No. 1359)
