Question:     What does the Shariah say about cigarette smoking?

Answer:     Cigarette smoking is Makruh (undesirable) as per the Shariah and harmful from the point of view of medicine.  It should be avoided.  As given in Maus’ua Fiqhiyya Kuwaitiyya, Vol. 10, Pg. No. 104.
