Question:     What is the difference between Muslim and Momin?
............................................................................
Answer:
In the Shariah, there is no difference between Momin and Muslim.  In the Holy Quran and the Hadith, the word Muslim has been used for Momin and vice versa.  The meaning in the Shariah is the same for both the words i.e. by truly accepting the rules of Allah SWT, which the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) brought for us, every Muslim is a Momin and vice versa.

But there is a difference as per the language.  The word Muslim means obedient and the word Momin means one who gives peace and affirms.
