Question: Some people keep their hand lowered in dua and some people raise them and some people let their hands overlap. How should the hands be kept during dua and how much can they be raised? ............................................................................
Answer: For the one making a Du’a, it is commendable (Mustahab) to keep his/her hands at a level with the chest and the hands (.i.e the palms) should face the sky. Maintaining a small gap between the hands and extending the hands is better. As given in Durre Mukhtaar, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 375 And Allah knows best.
