Question: In Qiyamah, will we be called by our fathers' names or our mothers' names? ............................................................................
Answer: It is established by the Hadith that on the Day of Judgment, everybody will be called by their fathers' names. There is a Hadith in Sunan Abu Dawood: It has been narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Darda (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Indeed! On the Day of Judgment, you will be called by your name and your father's name. Therefore, take good names. And Allah knows best.
