f:746 -    Is black magic for real

Name : Muhammad Shakir
Question:     Does Black magic exist?  Some people believe in it.  What does the Shariah say about this?

Answer:     It is Forbidden (Haraam) to hurt others and to engage in magic of any kind, but magic is a fact and it can affect other people.  Allah Most High has mentioned this in the Holy Quran and has condemned it.

Translation: They learn that which harms them and does not benefit them.  (Surah Baqara-102).  

This verse mentions the Jews learning magic, of its harm and condemns it very strongly.
