f:723 -    Child puts hands in vessels of water
Country : Bengaluru, India,
Name : Malika Begum
Question:     I live with my husband and have 2 sons.  The youngest 2 years old stays at home with me.  Sometimes, the child puts his hand in the vessels of water.  Can I perform Wuzu with that water afterwards?  The name of my youngest son is Sadiq.  What does it mean?
............................................................................
Answer:     If a child puts his hand in water, then it will be seen whether there was any filth on the hand.  If it is certain that the hand was clean, then performing Wuzu with it is permissible in light of the Shariah.  If it is not known with any certainty whether the hand was clean or not, then it is Mustahab (commendable), that Wuzu should be performed with some other water.  Still, if Wuzu is performed with the same water in which the child had put his hand, it will be valid.  As given Fatawa A'alamgiri, Kitab Ut Taharah.

The name "Sadiq" is a very good name, which is one of the blessed attributes of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  It means, "the one who speaks the truth".

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) knows best.
