f:722 -    Muezzin clearing throat during Adhaan

Question:     The muezzin of our Masjid sometimes clears his throat while giving Adhaan. Does this  affect the Adhaan in any way?

Answer:     It is Makruh (undesirable) to clear one's throat while giving the Adhaan without any valid reason.  If somebody clears the throat for some valid reason, then there is no problem.  As given in Fatawa A'alamgiri, Al Babul Thani Fil Adhaan.

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) knows best.
