f:648 -    What Dua should we recite after Wuzu
Country : Musheerabad,
Name : Abdul Raheem
Question:     What Dua should we recite after Wuzu?  If the reference of Hadith is also quoted, I?d be obliged.
............................................................................
Answer:     The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has taught us the supplications and prayers for every occasion and walk of life.  Reciting them is a means of gaining blessings and also brings us reward.

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has also taught us the supplication to be recited after ablution (Wudhu).  The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has also given glad tidings for the person who recites this supplication.  There is a Hadith in Jame’ Tirmidhi:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat 'Umar bin Khattab (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The person who performs ablution  and performs it thoroughly and then says:

Ash Hadualla Ilaaha Iillallaahu Wahdahu La Shareeka Lahu Wa Ash Hadu Anna Muhammadan ‘Abduhoo Wa Rasooluhu.  Allahummaj ‘Alnee Min At Tawwabeena Waj ‘Alnee Minal Mutatahhireen.

Then all the 8 doors of paradise are opened for that person.  He (or she) may enter paradise from whichever door he (or she) wants to.  (Jame’ Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 50)

Also, in Zujajatul Masabeeh, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 70, Hadith No. 274, it is given:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Whoever makes ablution and after performing it says:

Subhanakallahumma Wa Bihamdika Ash Hadualla Ilaaha Illa Anta Astaghfiruka Wa Atoobu Ilaika

Then this is written on a piece of paper and sealed and the seal is not broken until the Day of Judgment.

And Allah Most High knows best.
