f:503 -    Zakaat on piece of land

Question:     Do we have to give Zakaat on land also?

Answer:     If somebody has 60 grams 755 milligrams gold or 425 grams 285 milligrams silver or its equivalent wealth/cash, which is safe from debt and on which a year has passed, then giving its Zakaat is necessary.

If you add the land to your total wealth and it meets the aforesaid criteria and 1 year has passed on it, then giving Zakaat on it is necessary, as this land is considered to be a trade good.
