f:363 -    Worship of someone who does not believe that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is the Final Prophet
Country : Nizamabad, India,
Name : Muhammad Hamid
Question:     If any person recites and believes in the Kalima, is punctual about the articles of Islam, but does not believe the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) to be the last and final Prophet, then what will be status of the worship of that person?

............................................................................
Answer:     The basic criteria for worship to be accepted is faith (Iman).  Without faith, mere acts do not constitute worship.  Believing that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is the Final Prophet and the Seal of all Prophets is included in the basic tenets of belief.  The person who does not believe in this is not a Muslim.  The acts performed by a non-Muslim will all go waste.  No act of theirs are considered as worship by Allah Most High, as mentioned in the Holy Quran:

The one who denies faith (in the Commandments of Allah), all his work is ruined and he will (also) be among the losers in the Hereafter.  (Surah Maidah, 5:5)

And Allah knows best.
