Question:     Assalamalaikum wa Rahmatullah, Mufti Sahab, can we get a job through cheating and what will be ruling about its salary?

Answer:     Whether cheating and deception is for job or just like that, it is anyhow forbidden (Haraam).  The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

Translation: Whoever cheats us is not of us.  

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 146)

To seek a job through cheating or deception of any kind is impermissible and forbidden.  However, the salary got from it is permissible (Halaal).  

When a piece of land is forcibly taken and Salaat is offered on it, then the Salaat is valid, but the sin of taking it by force still remains.  In the same way, cheating is forbidden, but the salary got from one's efforts is permissible.  

And Allah Most High knows best.
