f:308 -    3 flags were placed at the time of Milad
Country : Hyderabad, India,
Name : Mir Adil
Question:     I read in a book, a Hadith that in honor of the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), 3 flags were placed.  Mufti Sahab, you please give the reference of this Hadith.

............................................................................
Answer:     The Hadith, which you have mentioned, has been mentioned by the great Muhaddith, Imam Jalaluddin 'Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr Suyuti (Deceased-911 Hijri) (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) in his famous book "Al Khasaais Ul Kubra" and by the interpreter of Sahih Bukhari, Imam Ahmed bin Muhammad Qustullani (Deceased-923 Hijri) in "Al Mawahib Al Ladunniya".

Translation: Syeda Amina (May Allah be well pleased with her) says: I saw that at the time of His birth, 3 flags were placed: One in the east, another in the west and the third on the Ka'aba.

(Al Khasaais Ul Kubra, Vol. 1, Pg No. 57; Mawahib Al Ladunniya, Vol. 1, Pg No. 125)

And Allah Most High knows best.
