f:293 -    Performing missed Rakat of Maghrib
Country : ,
Name : submittername
Question:     My question is that if 2 Raka'at are missed in the Jamaat of Maghrib, how do we perform them?

............................................................................
Answer:     If someone joins the Salaat after 1 or more Raka'at are completed, then after the Imam ends the Salaat, that person should stand up and perform the missed Raka'at with Surah Fatiha and Dhamm Surah (another Surah after Surah Fatiha) in such a way that in the first 2 Raka'at of this person, Surah Fatiha and another Surah should be recited.

For e.g. if the 2 Raka'at of Salaat Ul Maghrib are missed then after the Imam ends the Salaat, in the first Raka'at Surah Fatiha and another Surah should be recited and the 1st Qaida (sitting) should be performed in the 1st Raka'at itself and in the 2nd Raka'at, Surah Fatiha and another Surah should be recited and in this Raka'at, Salaat should be ended with Tashahud, Durud Ibrahim and Dua Mathoora.  As given in Fatawa A'alamgiri.

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) knows best.
