Question:     Mufti Sahab, my question is who are the “Ahle Kitab”?

Answer:     Any person who believes in a divinely revealed book (like Torah, Pslams, Bible, etc.) and has faith in that religion is an Ahle Kitab (Lit. the People of the Book)

As mentioned in Radd Ul Muhtaar and in Fatawa A’alamgiri in Kitab Un Nikah.

And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) knows best.
