Question:
    Assalamualikum bhai in islam

My question is what are the different between 4 imams?

.....................................................................................................................................
Answer:
The Holy Quran and the Hadith are the base of Islamic law.  The solutions to all the problems which mankind may face in their life in all walks of life is present.
The Holy Quran is simple and at the same time, there are verses in the Holy Quran, which even an expert in literature will find difficult to explain and extract rulings from them.  Mere expertise in literature does not make one an expert in law.

Life keeps changing.  The needs of every age and era are different.  All the time, we keep facing new problems.  For example, in present day, share business is very common.  What cases in that are allowed and what cases are not, the ruling about fixed deposits, online trade, ruling about life insurance and hundreds of such issues cannot be solved satisfactorily with only intelligence and language.  So it is necessary for every Muslim to follow any one of the Mujtahid (Jurist) Imams who have described these or such issues in their books of Fiqh.

The Mujtahideen and the Imams have set down the basic guidelines for searching Islamic solutions in the light of the Holy Quran and the Hadith.  They have also thought about all the problems which a human can face in life right from birth to death and have described it in great detail in their books.  The whole corpus of these rulings is collectively called “Fiqh.”  Following the guidelines and the rulings given by these dependable and reliable Mujtahideen and Imams is in fact following the Holy Quran and the Hadith itself.

All the 4 Imams are correct and all have irrefutable proofs of their school of thought from the Holy Quran and the Hadith.  Following any one of them is compulsory.
