The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gave these glad tidings that Hadhrat ‘Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) and the Holy Quran will always be together as given in Mustadarak ‘Alas Sahihayn:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Umme Salma (May Allah be well pleased with her), she says:  I heard the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) say:  ‘Ali is with the Quran and the Quran is with ‘Ali.  Both of them can never be separated to the point that both of them will come to me together on the Houz-e-Kauthar.  (Mustadarak ‘Alas Sahihayn, Hadith No. 4604; Mo’jam Ausat Tabarani, Hadith No. 5037; Mo’jam Sagheer Tabarani, Hadith No. 721)

It was the blessing of this saying of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) that Hadhrat ‘Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) is included among those Companions who collected the Holy Quran and presented it before the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) as given by Imam Suyuti (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) in Tarikh Ul Khulafa, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 68.

Ramadhan is special in many ways.  Yet another distinction of this month is that the 4th Caliph of Islam, Hadhrat ‘Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) was martyred in this month.

Hadhrat ‘Ali (May Allah be well pleased with him) has been given innumerable distinctions by Allah Most High.  He is an embodiment of excellence, a fountainhead of knowledge and sciences, a source of guidance, a personification of piety, bravery and generosity and a cynosure of Wilayah (sainthood).  There are many verses of the Holy Quran and the Hadith which mention his distinction and excellence.
