f:1031 -    Suffering from gases.  How to offer Salaat
Country : Hyderabad, India,
Name : Syed Siraj
Question:     I suffer from gases.  Even when I am offering Salaat, I can’t control them.  What should I do?
............................................................................
Answer:     Islam is a religion of ease.  Almighty Allah doesn’t tax anyone beyond their capacity.  It is mentioned in the Holy Quran:

Allah does not put under stress any soul more than its endurance.  Surah Baqarah (2:286)

If you are suffering to the extent that you don’t have even that much respite that you can offer even the Obligatory (Fardh) Salaat in the entire permissible time for that Salaat without your ablution being  (continuously) invalidated, then in the terminology of jurisprudence, you are excused.  The Shariah has given you the convenience that at the time of every Salaat, you can make a fresh ablution and can offer as much Salaat as you want to, Obligatory Salaat, Sunnah Salaat or Supererogatory Salaat with that ablution, as given in Fatawa A’alamgiri, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 40, 41

When later on by the grace of Almighty Allah, you are healthy enough that you can offer the Obligatory Salaat without this then you will no longer be considered as excused.

And Allah Most High knows best.
