Some people use lenses instead of glasses. The lenses are not removed while performing ablution or having a bath. Is wuzu while wearing contact lenses permitted?

According to the Shariah, the inner part of the eye is classified as an internal organ. Washing the internal organs involves too much effort, so washing them during wuzu or ghusl is not Wajib. Allah SWT says in Verse 6 of Surah Maidah about Taharah (cleanliness and purity) “O ye who believe! When ye rise up for prayer, wash you faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and lightly rub your heads and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it. Allah would not place a burden on you, but He would purify you and would perfect His grace upon you, that ye may give thanks. (6)” Lenses are actually concave glasses. They are placed next to the inner part of the eye. In Wuzu, washing the inner part of the eye is not wajib. So, according to the Shariah, there is no problem in performing wuzu or having bath while wearing contact lenses. Translation, “It is neither Wajib nor a Sunnah to wash the inner part of the eye.” And Allah knows best.
