Blood test in fast

Because of old age, my health is not so good.  What should I do for the fasts that I have to leave?  Also, can we get a blood test done while fasting?

In its rules for worship and other dealings, the Shariah has made allowances for the special circumstances and situations which one may encounter.  No person is forced to do what is beyond their power.  As Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) says in Surah Baqara.

If now you are so ill that you cannot fast and fasting negatively affects your health, then you should make up for these fasts when your health returns (Qaza).  As given in the Holy Quran and in Fatawa A’alamgiri, Vol. 1, Pg No: 208.

If your health is fine and fasting does not have any (negative) affect on it, then fasting is compulsory.

As far as blood test while fasting is concerned, it can be done, because in a blood test, blood is removed from the body and in the Shariah, bloodletting while fasting is allowed provided it does not weaken the person.
